Sedbergh Folkfest 2012

We're taking a year off from running a full blown festival in 2012, however we will be running a number of other events...
Aly Bain is arguably the finest Scottish fiddle player of all time well known for his work on The Transatlantic Sessions. Phil Cunningham is a world famous accordion player and composer, nominated by The Scotsman as one of Scotland's 'most influential people'. Together their bond is unique, effortlessly playing fiery traditional reels or slow airs that
tug at the emotions.

For more than 40 years, Andy has been a world music pioneer and an icon of traditional music. Founder member of bands Sweeney's Men, Planxty, Patrick Street, and Mozaik, he has been hailed as "a tradition in himself." Musician, singer and songwriter, few others can equal his repertoire: Irish traditional songs, dexterous Balkan dance tunes, and his own compelling material.
